A Lake cruise

Today we took the ferry boat from 'Salo' to 'Sirmione, about 25 klms up the coast. We had a couple of stops in between.
The ferry was large, comfortable & most importantly, air conditioned. It was a very pretty trip with ancient castles on
headlands & great scenery under a sunny sky. Sirmione was much more touristy than Salo & therefore much more crowded.
It was very interesting, but we much preferred, (our quiet home town for 1 more night) Salo.
Tomorrow we should finally reach the Swiss border. It looks like plenty more mountains coming up, but cooler weather.
Somewhere in Sirmione.

Info.

Sometimes the shutters are open, sometimes they are closed, but on Sundays they are all sealed tight.
